WA Drone Hub Stakeholder consultation workshop

Had a great time with industry colleges and community professionals to discuss the UAV industry in WA and how DIWA is rising to meet the challenge.

The establishment of a world-class Drone Hub in Western Australia will provide the opportunity to undertake research, commercialisation and adoption of technologies and applications that enhance the capacity to collect, store and share drone-based data. The Drone Hub will include activities related to all types of remotely piloted or autonomously controlled vehicles including:

• Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV);

• Unmanned ground vehicles (UGV); and

• Marine-based remote operated vehicles (ROV) and autonomous underwater vehicles (AUV).

We are seeking stakeholder feedback on the Drone hub concept and want to potential stakeholders including:

• drone operators;

• developers odtechnology related to drone sensors

• current and potential end users of drone data; and

• industry groups and associations whose members can utilise drones and drone data
